Interface labels vary across platforms, clients, and versions. This guide uses feature names such as “subscription,” “configuration,” and “connect.” Refer to the labels currently shown in your dashboard and client. If you see a similar label, check what it does rather than looking for an exact wording match.
Create an account and save your login details
Open the VPNKiss user dashboard using the “Try it free” link on this page. Follow the prompts to create an account with a username and password. No email address is required. Choose a username that's easy to remember but doesn't reveal your identity, and use a unique password you don't use on other websites.
Before submitting, check your entries, especially uppercase and lowercase letters and any accidental spaces in your password. Once your account is created, make sure you can open the account overview, then save your login details in a password manager. Since no email address is required, don't rely on email recovery as a substitute for keeping your password safe, and don't depend solely on a temporary browser session.
If you already have an account, use the “Log in” link in the navigation instead of creating another one. Sign in to the same account on each device to keep track of your plan, orders, and subscription. If a username is unavailable, follow the prompt to choose another. If you have trouble signing in, check your entries and the page language, then visit the Help Center for account guidance.
Once you're done, stay in the user dashboard. Next, you'll choose a plan under the same account. You can also get your subscription and view orders there. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps; check the status shown in the account overview to see whether you already have an active plan.
Choose a plan and review your order
Open the Plans section of the user dashboard and choose a monthly subscription or a data package based on how you plan to use the service. A monthly subscription suits regular use with a monthly data allowance. A data package works well if your usage varies and you'd like to keep unused data for later. Check how billing works before comparing prices and data allowances.
Monthly plans include ¥9.9 / month for 60GB, ¥18 / month for 250GB, and ¥28 / month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of the calendar month. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Review the order details in the dashboard before proceeding to make sure the selection is right.
Data packages include ¥158 / 300GB, ¥358 / 1000GB, and ¥658 / 3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. “Never expires” describes the package's validity; it doesn't mean the data is unlimited. All plans support unlimited devices, but data usage across devices still counts toward your account's actual usage.
After choosing a plan, go to the order page and check the plan name, price, and data allowance. Follow the payment page instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the dashboard and check your order and plan status. Don't assume activation is complete just because the payment window closed. If the status hasn't updated, check the original order before submitting anything again.
VPNKiss offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for details on how to apply. This page covers only what you need for initial setup; see the plan and pricing page for a full comparison. Once your plan is active, continue to the subscription step.
Get your subscription from the dashboard
After signing in, open the account overview and check your plan status and remaining data. Then find the subscription or import option. A subscription gives your client the route configuration it needs; signing in to the website doesn't connect a device. Your client must get the configuration and establish a connection before it can handle network traffic in the selected mode.
If the dashboard offers an import option for your client, use it first. You may be asked whether to open the client; check that the correct app is selected before continuing. If the client isn't installed yet, follow the platform installation steps below, then return to the overview and start the import again. There's no need to place another order.
For a manual import, copy the complete subscription link provided in the dashboard—not the account overview URL in your browser's address bar. Switch to your client and paste the link into the field for adding a subscription or remote configuration. Check that the entire link, including its beginning and end, was copied. Don't include line breaks, explanatory text, or extra spaces.
Your subscription link may contain access credentials, so treat it like account information. Don't post it in public forums or send the full link or a screenshot showing it when troubleshooting. Add the subscription from your own dashboard to your client. This guide doesn't display real subscription links, and you don't need to paste yours into another lookup website.
If you can't find an available subscription in the dashboard, check your plan and order status first. Copying a link, refreshing the dashboard, and updating the client's configuration are separate actions; refreshing the webpage won't update an old configuration in your client. After importing, check in the client that the configuration downloaded successfully.
Import into a client for your device
Use the Clients section of the user dashboard to find the right download. After signing in, you can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; the iOS client link requires an active plan. You'll also need a working subscription to connect. Choose a client that supports the subscription format provided by the dashboard, and don't mix configuration files in different formats in the same import process.
Windows: Add a subscription and enable the system proxy
In the Clients section of the dashboard, select Windows to get the VPNKiss client for your system, then follow the prompts to install it. When you first launch the client, check that it opens to the main screen, then return to the dashboard to start the import. If your system asks which app should open a link, choose the client you just installed—not your browser or another unrelated app.
To add a subscription manually, find “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or the configuration manager in your client. Choose the option to add a remote configuration from a link, paste the subscription, and save it. Wait for the update to finish, select the configuration, and check that the route list appears. Choose a route, then enable the system proxy or the relevant connection feature using the client's controls. Selecting a route alone may not direct your browser traffic through it.
macOS: Import a configuration and approve system permissions
Choose a macOS-compatible client in the dashboard and install it by following the system and installer instructions. After opening the client, import your subscription through the dashboard or add the remote link in the client's configuration or subscription manager. Save and update the configuration. Once the region and route names appear, set it as the active configuration.
When you connect, macOS may ask to allow a network configuration or grant permission for a related feature. Check that the prompt comes from the client you're using, then follow the instructions. Afterward, check the connection status in the menu bar or the client's main screen, and confirm that the system proxy or other required connection feature is enabled. When you're finished, disconnect before quitting the app to avoid leaving the proxy in an unexpected state.
Android: Import a subscription and allow the VPN connection
In the Clients section of the dashboard, choose Android and install the compatible client as prompted. Open the subscription or configuration manager and add a remote configuration using the link. If the dashboard offers an import option, you can also return there and import directly. Once the configuration updates successfully, set it as active and choose a destination region from the route list.
When you connect, Android usually asks for permission to set up a VPN connection. Check that the app is correct, then allow it. Once connected, visit the target website in your browser rather than relying only on the client's toggle. If the connection drops when you switch apps or lock your screen, check your system's background activity and battery settings for the app, and allow the background activity it needs. Settings vary by device; see Connection and troubleshooting help for more guidance.
iOS: Get the client from the dashboard and import your subscription
First, check that your account has an active plan. Then open the iOS client link in the dashboard and follow the instructions to get the client. After installing it, return to the dashboard and choose the import method for that client. If the system asks whether to open the app, confirm and save the subscription in the client. To import manually, paste the link into the subscription manager or the option for adding a remote configuration.
After the configuration updates, select a route and turn on the connection. The first time iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, follow the device prompt to confirm. Check the connection status in the client, then switch to Safari or the target app to test it. Don't run multiple apps that manage network connections at the same time. To switch clients, disconnect the current one before using another.
Linux and other configuration questions
Linux is supported too. In the Clients section of the user dashboard, choose the appropriate option, get the client using the current instructions, and import your subscription. Desktop environments and permission prompts may vary, so follow the dashboard instructions for installation and connection. This page doesn't cover command-line proxies, environment variables, or developer tool setup. For AI tools, IDEs, or APIs, see the AI access guide.
Connect to a route and check that it works
After importing, choose a route suited to the region of the service you want to use. If the service doesn't require a particular region, start with one that's geographically closer. If the website specifies where its service is available, check its coverage rather than relying on the route name. Learn more about regions and route types on the Routes page.
Once connected, keep the client running and visit the website you want to use. Check that the page loads, sign-in works, and the features you need are available. Opening a webpage confirms only that particular visit; test video playback, AI chats, and other apps separately. A “connected” status in the client doesn't guarantee the target platform will accept the current network environment. The service's actual response is what matters.
If nothing changes, first check that the current configuration is selected and up to date, then make sure the system proxy or VPN connection is enabled. Close and reopen the target page, and restart the target app if needed. If the issue continues, try another route in the same region. Change one setting at a time so you can tell what affects the result.
If you encounter a sign-in restriction or a region notice, don't keep switching regions and retrying sign-in. Check the target service's region and account rules first, then troubleshoot with a consistent network environment. A network connection can't replace account eligibility, subscription access, or compliance with the target platform's terms. These issues aren't necessarily caused by a client installation problem.
Once you confirm the connection works, keep the current configuration. After that, you usually only need to open the client and connect; there's no need to copy the subscription again each time. If the route list changes, update it in the client's subscription manager. To set up another device, use the same account to get your subscription and import it there. VPNKiss supports unlimited devices, but check your account's data usage regularly so low data isn't mistaken for a connection issue.
Still can't connect? Visit the Help Center and troubleshoot in this order: “Is the configuration up to date? → Is the connection enabled? → Is the target service available?” To report an issue, use the support ticket link in the user dashboard and include your platform, client, route region, and error details. Hide your account information and subscription link.
